Overcoming Weather and Supply Chain Issues to Meet an Aggressive One-Year Schedule
KHS&S overcame supply chain issues, material shortages and record rainfall to meet a challenging 12-month time frame to complete both exterior and interior scopes for the new three-story, 80,000-square-foot TGH Rehabilitation Hospital. Teams began work at sunrise to stay ahead of the afternoon storms and worked weekends to complete the aggressive schedule. Exterior and interior soffits were prefabricated on site for improved quality control to eliminate rework and reduce labor congestion in construction zones. Despite the fast-tracked schedule, quality and safety were never compromised. KHS&S ended the project with zero incidents or injuries and KHS&S’s stringent quality control ensured the project met the high standards of the Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA).
