Overview
The historic courthouse of Orlando, Florida was “out of order.”
Once one of the defining characteristics of Downtown Orlando, the 1927 neo-classic revival-style building was run down by age and fire. When the building was to be renovated into a historical museum, the interiors had to be reconstructed while preserving the building’s historical significance.
This required selecting new material to recreate the old, then, by hand, seamlessly blending it into the existing walls and ceilings – some of which had chunks of two or three feet missing.
The result is a perfectly restored building placed on the national register of historical places.
