KHS&S fabricated and installed 440 EIFS panels on 22 floors of the 34-story JW Marriott in downtown Austin.  At 1,012 rooms and 112,000 square feet of meeting space, the hotel is the largest JW Marriott in the United States and the largest hotel in Austin.

KHS&S fabricated the panels using a process of metal studs framing followed by application of exterior grade gypsum sheathing and  EPS foam.  Craftsmen then apply a cementitious material, fiberglass reinforced mesh, finishes and sealers.

KHS&S fabricated the panels off-site and then trucked them to the job site where they were hoisted alongside the building using a Spyder crane equipped with a boom and 330-foot of cable.  When panels were at the correct level, KHS&S craftsmen guided them into precise placement.   The average size panel was six feet by 18 feet on the upper floors and two feet by eight feet on other areas of the building.

The hotel officially opened Feb. 13, 2015.
