KHS&S completed the interior and exterior framing, drywall and acoustical ceilings for the largest expansion of Gulf Coast Medical Center since its opening in 1977. The $29.5-million expansion added the region’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), the area’s first pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), and a new adult intensive care unit (ICU).
The 42-bed wing includes:
- 20 adult ICU beds
- 18 bed NICU beds
- 4 PICU beds
