Giving Structure to an Academic Complex at Stetson University

The Cici & Hyatt Brown Hall for Health & Innovation – a two-story, 40-000-square-foot building for science and synergy on Stetson’s Deland Campus – was officially christened Oct, 28 as a part of the University’s foundation for the future.

KHS&S completed the ceilings, 6,000 linear feet of framing and 70,000 square feet of drywall for the building.

“Brown Hall brings together an array of academic disciplines in collaboration,” said Stetson President Christopher F. Roelike, PhD during the dedication ceremony. “That collaboration is essential for the growth and discovery of new ideas, and our ability to problem solve and think critically about the issues that confront us in the world.

In the spirit of the project, KHS&S teams overcame supply chain challenges, a rainy season and relied on extensive collaboration with other trades to keep the project moving forward to meet the project schedule.

The project was opened in time to host students for the spring 2023 semester.
