Overview
Millwork Installation Defines Luxury
Roman luxury meets Southern charm at the new Caesars Virginia, a $750 million destination resort and casino that opened in December 2024. KHS&S provided the millwork installation throughout the casino and across 12 restaurants and bars. From the iconic laurel leaves on the ceiling symbolizing strength, honor and integrity to elaborate wood casing surrounding chandeliers and ornate light fixtures in the bar areas and casino, every installation was integral to the resort’s grand and opulent design.
At peak times, up to 30 KHS&S craftspeople were on site. Millwork installation requires precision and intricate finishing, making it a very specialized trade. The team faced an accelerated schedule with compressed deadlines. Millwork shipped from Canada had to acclimate to interior temperatures, a process that often took several days to weeks before installation could begin. KHS&S coordinated closely with MEP trades working in the same areas, navigating logistical challenges to keep the fast-moving project on track. Despite these hurdles, the craftsmanship and attention to detail delivered by KHS&S helped evoke ancient Rome and the legacy of Julius Caesar
