KHS&S Healthcare Construction Specialists Help Bring a State-of-the-Art Medical Facility to Florida

Spanning 282,000 square feet, this new, state-of-the-art medical facility includes 82 beds and is designed with scalability to accommodate an additional 200 beds to meet the needs of a rapidly growing region of Florida.

KHS&S played a critical role in the $263 million project, delivering exceptional interior construction services, including metal framing, drywall installation and finishing and GFRG columns. With over 113,000 work hours dedicated to the project, KHS&S reinforced its reputation for excellence in the healthcare sector. In a competitive market, KHS&S continues to earn an impressive rate of repeat business having worked with AdventHealth on multiple previous projects.

The stunning main lobby showcases a two-story atrium with intricate design elements. To achieve this, soffits were prefabricated on-site near the installation area, with metal framing carefully laid out on the lobby floor to visually confirm the design before installation. Crews utilized scaffolding and lifts reaching up to 30 feet to position the framing and drywall with precision. Given the multiple radii and the need for meticulous accuracy, the team employed laser technology and custom templates for precise line placement. The result is a space with upscale finishes and a distinctive design, creating a serene and peaceful healing environment that reflects the architect’s vision.
