Progress at the Minnesota State Senate Building

As the building begins to cool down, the work heats up on the interior! Many of the interior finishes of the project are beginning this month. Painting and ceiling grid will continue across various areas of the building with additional subcontractors coming onboard to begin scopes including carpet, millwork and wood panels, ceiling pads, and MEP finishes. As adjustments are made to the various components, MEP systems will come online starting in mid-August and continue through September.

Exterior work is now transitioning as our last piece of precast was set on 8/5 and the main entry glazing was completed on 8/13, with the final trim pieces to be installed in the next couple of weeks. Additionally, site work will also begin this month as site walls, sidewalks, irrigation, and plantings begin at both street level and on the plaza level. With the removal of the tower cranes, and hard-scapes and landscaping starting, the exterior of the building will start to take on a more finished look.
