Integrating high-quality construction with innovative artistry, Hollywood & Highland stands as a tribute to KHS&S's theming expertise. Featuring over 850,000 sq. ft. of exteriors and themed facades, this multi-use entertainment complex located in the heart of Hollywood required the combined efforts of over 190 crewmen and artists.
The project, themed after a 1916 movie set, called for Egyptian-styled exteriors constructed out of eight-foot cementitious panels, two 35-foot cast elephants assembled on site and lifted 70 feet in the air to sit atop 100-ft.-tall ornate columns and multiple decorative themed accents including period BAS-relief. Submitting over 50 samples of texture, materials and colors, artists created nine custom finishes including EIFS, cement plaster and faux painting to be used throughout the project to re-create the golden-age era of Hollywood.
