Disney's Animal Kingdom Expedition Everest

Walt Disney World's newest thrill ride, Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, is a high-speed roller coaster adventure contained in a massive artificial rock formation and set amidst a mythical, remote Himalayan village adored with the colors, textures, architectural detail and artistic motif of Nepal and other Asian locations.

Setting the pace for the project's fast-track schedule, KHS&S Contractors completed nearly 90,000 linear feet of structural stud framing and the interior / exterior substrates for the Himalayan Village's eight buildings. In addition, KHS&S constructed the 90-foot-high stairwells for the ride's massive mountain structure. KHS&S' scheduling success kept the project moving forward, earning rave reviews from the owner and general contractor.
