Regatta Beach Club, one of the largest and oldest condominium buildings on Pinellas County beaches, was experiencing widespread deterioration of concrete and steel on its cantilevered balconies.
The owners contracted KHS&S to repair and recoat all 385 balconies, as well as to patch and paint the entire surface of the one 12-story and two 11-story, interconnected buildings. Damage to the balconies was more extensive than first estimated, but KHS&S craftsmen adjusted, developing a plan for an expanded scope and longer than expected project duration. The project involved more than 24,000 square feet of stucco repair and more than 215,000 square feet of painting.
Working at high elevations with concrete and steel and even dodging Hurricane Irma, KHS&S safely restored the balconies and building exterior to pristine condition.
