ANAHEIM, Calif. – We are deeply saddened to announce that David P. Suder, President and CEO of KHS&S-West Coast, passed away October 7th, 2019. The entire KHS&S family mourns this loss. On behalf of our management team and employees, we extend our deepest sympathies to Dave’s family.
Dave’s early career included working at his family’s general contracting business and a successful career in the framing and drywall industry. Following his entrepreneurial passion, he partnered with KHS&S-East to form a west coast company in 1996. KHS&S-West Coast was created out of Dave’s desire to have a company that reflected his values; a company that put its people first. In 2006, he introduced the KHS&S employee stock ownership plan, making KHS&S-West Coast an employee-owned company. Through a combination of vision, hard work and risk-taking, KHS&S-West grew from a startup specialty subcontracting company to a highly recognized specialty contractor of renowned, iconic projects – both domestically and internationally.
Dave’s influence was wide-spread in our industry and community. Dave recently said “I have accomplished so many things in my professional career that I am now most interested in making my life about serving others and making a difference in their lives.” He served in many organizations including: Servite High School, WWCCA, American Heart Association, Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, and Taller San Jose.
Dave leaves a significant and lasting imprint on our company and, as we move forward, the next generation of leadership is honored to carry forward the vision he set and the strong teams he built at KHS&S.
