Cobra's Curse Busch Gardens, Tampa, Florida

Description

KHS&S’ theming experts helped transform the customer areas around Busch Gardens’ newest attraction, Cobra’s Curse, into an archaeological dig site where the secrets of the Snake King are waiting to be uncovered.

Using massive timber supports, prefabricated off-site, seldom-used eucalyptus poles and myriad other diversified materials, KHS&S craftsmen fashioned a solidly built superstructure that looks early 20th century

Services Provided

KHS&S was responsible for framing, drywalling and plastering the ride queuing areas and public spaces and for completing all the wood finishes throughout the attraction. This included 3,360 square feet of truss material, 2,285 linear feet of cedar slats and 6,854 linear feet of eucalyptus poles.

During the preconstruction phase, KHS&S also completed multiple, detailed construction drawings to ensure design intent and ensure precision on the job site.

Our scope included:

• Metal framing
• Drywall, lath and plaster
• Wood decking, trusses around ride and waiting areas
• Combination wood and metal fences to separate spaces
