KHS&S completed the metal stud framing, drywall and three major vaulted ceilings for this renovation of one of Florida's busiest shopping malls.
Working at heights 16 - 34 feet off the ground, KHS&S crews were faced with the challenge of constructing compound radius vaulted ceiling features using laser technology and Flex track - a special framing material. After the track was constructed, stud placements were identified, marked and installed and 3/8-inch and 1/2- inch drywall were then installed to build out the design.
To allow the mall to remain open during renovation, all construction began at 10 p.m. and was cleared and stored before 8:30 a.m. daily.
