KHS&S completed all interiors, including drywall, metal studs and insulation, as well as exteriors, including engineering and design, framing, EIFS and insulation for this high profile corporate headquarters complex.
From the beginning, KHS&S faced several logistical challenges including working around conservation areas and managing the many diverse elements of the seven-building, 941,000-square-foot project on an accelerated construction schedule. To overcome these obstacles, KHS&S designed a project management system -- including three superintendents reporting to one project manager -- and timeline with built-in weekend work to meet the project's projected 18-month construction schedule.
Additionally, the 120 person crew innovated creative solutions for technical challenges ranging from the aesthetics and precision required for a glass enclosed stairwell to the framing of football-shaped soffits in the headquarters conference room to the finishes of rounded interior walls fronted by rounded FRP columns in several main areas.
