12.09 KHS&S Helps Redefine the Las Vegas Skyline With CityCenter

KHS&S' quality craftsmanship is showcased throughout Las Vegas' CityCenter as it begins a series of grand openings in December. This colossal $8.5 billion, 67-acre project in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip is the most expensive privately funded construction project in U.S. history. KHS&S performed work on five major CityCenter projects - the convention center, Cirque du Soleil's Viva ELVIS™ theater, ARIA Resort & Casino, Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas and The Harmon Hotel. KHS&S' scope of work ranged from traditional services, such as drywall and metal studs, to more specialized services, including themed construction and high-end finishes.

11.09 KHS&S Contractors Employee Food Drive Sets Orange County Food Bank Record

KHS&S - West Anaheim, California USA (November 25, 2009) - The Anaheim office of KHS&S Contractors West Coast, an employee owned company since 2006, celebrated National Employee Ownership Month in October by collecting 15,352 pounds of food for the Orange County Food Bank, setting a Food Bank record for the largest food drive ever conducted by employees of a single company.

07.06 KHS&S Breaks Ground on Expanded Seattle, WA Office

KHS&S has broken ground on an expanded KHS&S office in Fife, WA, just outside of Seattle. The new office is expected to be complete by the end of 2009. KHS&S has worked in the Seattle market since 2001 and has been in its current Fife location since 2004. The expanded facilities will feature additional room for KHS&S' preconstruction services as well as additional personnel and warehouse space. 06.12 KHS&S-West Coast's Dave Suder Wins Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year© Award

Dave Suder, president/CEO, KHS&S-West Coast, was one of eight business executives honored June 11 as part of the 23rd annual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards for the Orange County, CA / Desert Cities region. Suder was selected from a group of finalists in the real estate and construction industry category. The awards are given to entrepreneurs who demonstrate extraordinary success in the areas of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. The region covers Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino, CA counties and all of Arizona. Award recipients are eligible for national honors that will be presented Nov. 14 in Palm Springs, CA.

10.08 KHS&S Maintains # 2 Wall & Ceiling Spot in ENR Annual Ranking

For the third consecutive year, KHS&S Contractors has been ranked the second-largest specialty wall and ceiling contractor in the country by Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazine. The ranking is part of the 2008 Top 600 Specialty Contractors list published annually by McGraw-Hill and is based on 2007 nationwide revenue. KHS&S ranked 28th overall.

10.04 ABC Names KHS&S-Orlando Subcontractor of the Year

KHS&S-Orlando has been named Subcontractor of the Year by the Associated Builders and Contractors Central Florida Chapter. KHS&S earned the honor at the Excellence in Awards Banquet held Oct. 8. KHS&S was also awarded four Excellence in Construction awards, including 3 first-place Eagles.

07.15 KHS&S Helps Set Stage for Next Generation NASA Program

KHS&S-Orlando is crafting a place in the history of space exploration with its retrofit work at NASA s Kennedy Space Center on Florida s East Coast. Craftsmen are installing metal framing and drywall on the ceilings in the high and low bays in NASA s Operations & Checkout (O&C) Building. Originally built in the 1960s, the building will play a crucial role in NASA s next-generation human space exploration initiative, the Constellation Program. The final assembly, checkout and acceptance testing of the program's crew transportation system, Orion, will eventually be performed at the O&C facility. Work will continue through September 2008.

04.01 Las Vegas' Newest Casino Showcases KHS&S Craftsmanship

KHS&S craftsmanship takes center stage in The Palazzo, Las Vegas' newest casino resort. KHS&S completed intricate murals, gold leaf finishes, framing, theming and 13 interior and exterior water features for this $1.8-billion mega resort. The grand entry fountain serves as a project focal point, while elaborate finishes are evident throughout the 3,000-room project situated next to The Venetian.
